The Great Green Debate

Wakefield schools spark debate in Spring 2019!

Wakefield primary schools are invited to take part in an inter school debating competition in March 2019. The competition will culminate in an event based at Wakefield County Hall in March where schools will compete for the winning title.

The teams will be asked to prepare arguments around a central question of “What is the most important thing that we can do to help our environment”. The schools will be given their arguments in advance of the day to prepare for the big event. The competition will be peer assessed on strength of argument and quality of presentation. The teams will be peer assessed but an independent adjudicator will also be present.

The results of the competition will be published following the event.
